Nero

Nero is a middle-aged petty criminal who survives through small-time crimes to support his sister Imma, who suffers from severe mental illness. During a robbery at a supermarket, an accidental discharge of his gun fatally wounds a gas station attendant. Shaken and on the run, Nero is stunned to learn that the attendant has miraculously recovered without a scratch. The miracle is attributed to the "Madonna of the Detergents," a statue of the Virgin Mary standing prominently in one of the store's aisles. However, a police officer named Abate, after reviewing the surveillance footage, becomes convinced that the true healing power lies within Nero himself. Desperate, Abate begs him to save his daughter, who has been in a coma for years. When Nero manages to wake her, he realizes he possesses an extraordinary gift. But he soon discovers that every healing comes at a steep price: with each miracle, he gradually loses one of his five senses. How far will he be willing to go to save others?
